Axios Local news initiative
Now in 30 U.S. cities with over 2 million subscribers and 500K Instagram followers. I’ve been involved since day 1 when Axios acquired Charlotte Agenda in 2020, and I’ve played an integral role in the growth and success of our newsletter-focused, hyper-local newsroom.
Copywriting & beyond
I create content centered on people. I work in a variety of verticles and platform mediums, but my expertise is in small business, music, travel, wellness, food and law.
- Small business: I support local entrepreneurs daily with creative editorial products that help business owners think like a media company.
- Travel resources & service journalism: I’ve traveled to over 40 countries, but my speciality is the south, where I’ve written stories on mountains towns, airport tips and glamping resorts.
- Legal copywriting: Profiled a North Carolina civil rights attorney who fights cases for the “little guy,” among many other inspiring lawyers across the U.S.
